Satellite company approval in the country.




The Cabinet approved the proposal to set up a separate company for overseeing the activities of the satellite, including the other aspects of the country.

High minister Sheik Hasina accepted the idea for the formation of a satellite corporation at an ordinary cabinet assembly on Monday.

After the regular meeting of the cabinet, Cabinet Secretary Shafiul Alam said that the company will invest capital of Tk. 5000 crore.

Its share capital will be 500 crore taka Which will be 10 takes per share.

The company will be 11 members. Where the telecommunications department secretary will be the chairman of the company's board of directors.

The country is already being prepared to send the first satellite Bangabandhu-1 to space. Which will be sent to space in December or January. The service will start from June 2016.

Now Bangabandhu satellite project is being operated by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission. Once the company is formed, they will take care of all the activities of the satellite.

Earlier, state minister for telecommunications and telecommunication Tarana Halim had said that the biggest part of the satellite's program would be marketing. It can not be done in any way without the formation of a separate company. So, the need to create such companies.

Eventually, the minister's approval was approved. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the cabinet meeting.
