Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her firm optimism and said that the swimmers of Bangladesh will be developed as world-class competitor one day by proper training and practice.

He said this while addressing the 'Swimmer Talent Hunt' titled "Bangladesh seeking best swimmer" organized jointly by the Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Swimming Federation at Swimingpool Complex, Bangladesh Navy's headquarters on Thursday morning.

The Prime Minister enjoyed the final round competition of Swimmer Talent Hunt and distributed prizes among the winners.

Referring to playing sport in riverine Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina said swimming competition continued fast at the heart of Bangladesh Swimming Federation's heart-warming efforts, keeping pace with the world. His signature reflects the merit of small swimmers in today's competition.

Declaring that her government has taken various steps for the development of sports inside the united states, the high minister said, right here we're very positive about the abilities of our small swimmers. From here one day our world class contestants will come up.He said once the people of Bangladesh crossed the Channel Channel of Brajen Das. So we can prove that we can actually do it.

The Prime Minister said I want this that Bangladesh and Bangladesh should get elected in a dignified position in the world. Therefore, we have to give the opportunity of intellectual development to the talents of our children.

At the function, the Prime Minister gave a check of Tk five lakh to each of the eight best sportsmen of different ages to improve sports.

The Prime Minister said a new generation of skilled swimmers had gathered in Swimmer Talent Hunt, titled "Bangladesh for the best swimmer" organized for the first time in the country.

He said, I am very happy that the swimmers participating in the international competition are bringing medals and brightening the country's image. In the 12th SA Games recently held in India, Mahfuza Khatun won two gold medals in swimming 100 meters in the women and 50 meters in the breast straw. Apart from these 17 more medals in this game, our players have made the country's reputation better in foreign soil.

The Prime Minister said that in the South Asian Aquatics Championship held in Sri Lanka in October last year, our swimmers earned two gold, 9 silver medals including two silver medals.

Highlighting the government's steps for the development of sports, the Prime Minister said, we have established stadiums in all Upazila of the country and development and renovating the stadium at the district level. Besides, construction of stadiums and sports complexes in specialized cities and sports complexes, including construction of swimming pools, is being implemented in divisional cities. The Prime Minister said that her government is making a mini stadium in each Upazila.

The Prime Minister said, that we are organizing competition from the grassroots level as we are increasing our excellence in sports. And it is important to provide training from an early age to increase this excellence. At the same time, he said that his government is taking care of the sports of sports and making them work.

He said, through sports, I think that on the one hand our boys and girls will be physically organized and on the other hand they will be liberal, have mental strength. The confidence in them will wake up.

Emphasizing the importance of education at this time, Sheikh Hasina said, we must learn to study, play sports as well as the importance of sports. So, through this sports, our children get the opportunity to develop talent.

The Prime Minister highlighted various successes of our disabled people in the international arena by highlighting various steps of her government to find the hidden talent among the disabled people.

At the beginning of the speech, the Prime Minister paid rich tributes to his memory on the occasion of the 118th birth anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. He said Nazrul has shown the way to go ahead with the darkness of lawlessness, injustice and capricious youth and win the unbeatable.
During this time, the Prime Minister defeated New Zealand by 5 wickets on Sunday, Bangladesh's one-day rankings rose to number 6, congratulating the players and allies of Bangladesh cricket, Bangladesh hoped to win the World Cup in a single day.
