Bangabandhu Satellite: Ground station's mechanical work done.


State Minister for Post and Telecommunication Tarana Halim said 95 percent of the construction work of the ground station of Bangabandhu satellite was completed.

After completing these tasks, he expressed his hope that he would be sent to Bangabandhu-1 satellite space on December 16.

He said this while visiting the last days of the Ground Station at Joydebpur in Gazipur.

The target date is November. But before that, the ground station was completed in October and the station will be ready.

Tarana Halim said that the work is only going to enhance the beauty of the station. "We wanted to set up the equipment before. Because these are the main equipment of the station. So it can be sure to install as soon as possible.

Tarana Halim said we can do the tasks left now. So we want to emphasize that we can start working at the right time.

State Minister for Telecommunication said Thalassa will be watching the matter after sending Bangabandhu-1 satellite Orbit. But with that, we will also observe it from here.

However, Tarana Halim said that it will have to be monitored at a time, Thales will be working to monitor the satellite for the first three years. Work with us and gradually build our capacity in three years and they will leave the responsibility of care for us. It will be managed by this station and our manual from the Betbunia Ground Station in Gazipur.

Till now, Bangabandhu has been set up in December during the satellite launch, the state minister said that the construction of the Thalass Satellite will be completed in the right time. And the time of launch is scheduled for December. We want to send it to space on December 16th. However, he said that weather and country's army may be slightly overgrown to launch their own satellites.

Thalassa will send the satellite to Florida in November. And from there it will be launched.

Apart from this, the roadmap is also being prepared on the satellite's commercial activities. But officials said that the program will start in April, he said.

The cost of launching Bangabandhu Satellite-1 for the last 15 years has been estimated to be Tk 2, 967 crores.
